My Experience with CaliBamboo.com - 10/4/2006 12:34 PM
Mistakes happen, but when a company goes out of its way to fix them, I feel the need to stand up and say something about it. I ordered a bunch of bamboo lumber and bamboo slats from CaliBamboo.com for Tiki Bar 2.0. My sales guy, Robert, was fantastic. Gave me several quotes before I settled on what I was purchasing and gave me lots of helpful information about which of there bamboos are easiest to work with and even offered to cut the canes in half so that it could be shipped Fedex instead of freight. Once I made a decision, I ordered my bamboo and about 2 weeks later it arrived at my apartment building. I tore into the package like it was Christmas. The lumber was beautiful, exactly what I was looking for, about a third of the slats were perfect, a beautiful mahogany color that was exactly what I pictured. Unfortunately, the rest of the slats were a distinctly different color - more like a redwood than mahogany. I took a picture and sent an email to my sales guy asking if there was anything they could do to correct the problem. He replied and said he had forward the issue onto the appropriate people and they should be getting back to me soon. Several days later, having not heard anything, I emailed my sales guy again and asked who I should bug about this problem as clearly it wasn't within his power to deal with. He sent me the email address for their customer care people (person?). I emailed all of the information directly to them and two days later I got a call from Anna at California Bamboo. They had looked at the picture, agreed that the color difference was unacceptable and would be shipping me replacement slats the next business day. Two business days later I got a Tracking number via email, they are on their way! I just wanted to say Kudos to CaliBamboo for coming through on customer service.
